Students Federation of India (SFI) won the School board member and three councilor seats in a re-poll held in S. N. School, University of Hyderabad on Friday.

The UoH election commission ordered a re-poll in S.N. School after the earlier election was cancelled due to technical problems. As per official reports, about 31.6 percent polling was registered compared to 80.83 percent in the students’ body general elections held on October 30, 2013.

K. K. Sanjana was elected as the school board member with 45 percent of the votes. While the three councilor posts were won by Dipiyotigogoi, Ragunandhan, and Rajesh who secured 50, 40 and 39 votes respectively.

The Dean of Student Welfare, Prof. B. V. Sharma said, “the election board members committed a mistake by giving extra ballot papers to voters”.

K. K. Sanjana winner of school board member said, “I am so happy for the results, I will work for the S. N. School, if there is any problem with respect to S. N. School, I will take the students’ grievances’ to the students union. It is not only my victory but also a triumph for S.N. School”.

Dipjiyotigogoi, newly elected school councilor member said, “I will work for improvement of facilities in S. N. School, I want to organise cultural festivals in S. N.  School. Besides, I will do my best to construct a volley ball court”.
