On October 22, 2013, University of Hyderabad (UoH) and BSNL will formally launching the PGDTM course, an online Post Graduate Diploma in Telecom Technology and Management at NATFM, an apex level management institute of BSNL located in Gachibowli, which will be the nodal interface with the University of Hyderabad for co-ordination and delivery activities of the course.

The telecom sector of India is growing at a rapid pace and the telecom industry  will soon be providing employment opportunities to 8-10 million people. The purpose of the PGDTM is also to train the students by giving them real time practical training experience in Telecommunication  & Finance Management along with academic knowledge.

The one year diploma PGDTM course will commence from January 2014 and is offered through distance and virtual mode by both UoH and NATFM institute of BSNL. The teaching will happen for 4 weeks and comprise class room coaching, field visits followed by practical training at NATFM institute and a project component. The course fee for the one year program is Rs. 40,000.

All the engineering students who have pursued and are pursing the last year  (ECE, EEE and IT) and want to apply PGDTM will be given direct admission. The rest of the students need to have 2 years of work experience in Telecom industry.
